During this Covid-19 pandemic, we must use all means to protect our self and that of our family. Everywhere there is panic buying of sanitizers. We were told to sanitize our hand upon entering any premises. We were taught to wash hand with soap and water throughout the day. We touch many surface during the day when we are outside. So we sanitize more. When you rub 70% proof alcohol on our hand so many times daily, our hand becomes dry and many develop skin problems. Sanitizer works on point of contact only. When you apply sanitizers to your hand, it helps eliminate the pathogens on your hand but when the alcohol evaporates, you do not have any more protection. You touch door handles, glass and many other surface wherever you go. We unconsciously touch our face, nose and mouth too.All types of viruses and bacteria are airborne. They cannot multiply in the air. They need a surface to attach to in order to live and multiply. These virus and bacteria sticks to our hair, exposed parts of our body and clothing. While we sanitize our hand, how many of us actually sanitize our clothes? Do anyone of us actually pour alcohol based sanitizer onto our clothes?
